If you’ve been following our work here at the Celebrity Sauce Co. for a while then you’ll have likely heard us talk about T-Levels and working with the Gatsby Foundation. We’ve had the pleasure of helping the foundation to build a ‘T-Team’ of celebrities who act as ambassadors and highlight the benefit of a T-Level qualification.
T-levels are a nationally recognised, career-focused qualification for 16- to 19-year-olds, with one T-level the equivalent to three A-levels. The two-year course combines classroom study with a 45-day industry placement to give young people the best of both experiences.
Our work in sourcing celebrity ambassadors to-date has included the likes of Tim Campbell and Oti Mabuse. For the latest recruitment drive, we achieved a partnership with musician and presenter Alesha Dixon and renowned businesswoman Sara Davies MBE.
The dynamic duo have come on board following the recent launch of two brand-new T-Level subjects in the qualification roster – Craft and Design and Media, Broadcast and Production. The addition of these two subjects brings the T-Level options to 20.
As part of their ambassadorship, they spent time with students from their respective subjects – Alesha taking Media, Broadcast and production and Sara championing Craft and Design. They were filmed speaking to students, immersing themselves in the concept of T-Levels and expressing the positive benefits that can be reaped from going down this route.
Furthering their work as part of the T-Team, Alesha and Sara are also responsible for reassuring parents that T-Levels are a viable and nationally recognised qualification for their kids’. To give this aspect a boost, they both took part in a national broadcast day where, during TV and radio interviews, they spoke on their time spent with the students, and the reasons why T-Levels are a great option, as well as their personal reasons for backing the campaign.
Both celebrities have huge Instagram followings (1.7million combined) and harnessed the power of social media by sharing their work as part of the T-Team with their followers, giving the qualification a significant boost.
