ARLENE PHILLIPS PUTS BEST FOOT FORWARDS FOR SAVINGS MARKETPLACE RAISIN

Dance choreographer and former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips raised the bar on a recent campaign and talked all thinks grandparenthood with savings marketplace Raisin UK.

Sparked by their own research findings that revealed 75% of grandparents try to encourage their grandchildren to save some or all of their money, Raisin UK launched a campaign that would raise awareness of their free, simple and easy savings platform. How did they want to do it? Through a radio day. And what did they require from us? A well-known celebrity to act as their spokesperson!

As a doting grandparent to two, Arlene Phillips was the perfect match (we’d score us a 10) for Raisin’s radio day. Arlene’s professional dancing career has taken her all over the world and her five years spent on Strictly’s judging panel made her into a cherished household name. This has meant she has an instantly recognisable voice and a name that carries a lot of weight amongst the public.

During the radio day Arlene took to Zoom to take part in a number of interviews hosted by stations across the UK.  She spoke openly about her relationship with her grandchildren, the joy they bring to her life, along with vocalising the importance of grandparents saving towards their grandchildren’s’ future with platforms such as Raisin. As well as this, she divulged the research findings and shared the mic with Raisin’s very own Nebula Norman.

Arlene was a confident and personable spokesperson for the savings platform providing great exposure for Raisin’s work.
