At The Celebrity Sauce Co., we partnered with DFS to amplify their nationwide campaign encouraging people to switch off, slow down and rediscover the joy of simple, screen-free moments at home. With DFS commissioning new research into the nation’s phone habits – and the growing desire for digital detoxing. Our brief was to find a warm, relatable and recognisable personality who could bring these insights to life.
We secured Lisa Snowdown, whose down-to-earth nature and passion for wellbeing made her the perfect fit. The partnership featured a full content shoot followed by a broadcast day, giving Lisa the platform to discuss DFS’s findings and share her own experiences of reducing screen time and embracing mindful, offline hobbies.
During the shoot, Lisa took to the streets of London with a DFS sofa, inviting members of the public to “take a seat” and chat honestly about how they’re switching off. The resulting video content captured a clear trend reflected in the research: more and more Brits are carving out digital-free zones, setting phone curfews, and turning to grounding activities like reading, walking, cooking and reconnecting with loved ones.
The broadcast day extended this conversation to national media, with Lisa championing DFS’s message of creating calm, comfortable spaces at home. With one in three adults attempting to reduce their screen time – and many noticing improvements in sleep, focus and overall wellbeing – the campaign tapped into relatable cultural shift towards being more present.
Lisa’s warmth, credibility and ability to speak authentically about balance and wellbeing made her an ideal spokesperson, helping DFS shine a spotlight on the role our homes and our sofas can play in encouraging true relaxation.
