As part of their ongoing activity to showcase the many places they fly to, low cost airline and package holiday company Jet2 recently benefitted from branded content in the MailOnline.
The brand, which is the UK’s third largest airline and flies to more than 70 destinations, sought a celebrity couple to explore one of their popular destinations – Malta.
EastEnders actress and Strictly star Maisie Smith jetted off to the island with her boyfriend Max George from boy band The Wanted. As part of their work to create content for the MailOnline, they visited hotspots, took in the culture and tasted the delights of the local cuisine, documenting their travels through photos and video.
Upon touching back down in the UK after what they described as ‘the perfect trip’ they were interviewed for the piece where they spoke about their experiences and highlighted the ways in which travelling with Jet2 made the holiday even better. As well as the online piece, Maisie shared a highlights reel to her Instagram account (which has 1 million followers by the way) which in turn gained Jet2 great exposure.
