Melvin Odoom creates dream space with Sky GLass

We recently teamed up with The Sunday Times to help them source talent for a series of branded content for Sky Glass.

The full-page features act as interior inspiration and demonstrate the many unique ways in which Sky Glass can transform rooms in the home. Sky Glass pride themselves on being ‘smarter than a smart TV’ with Sky built-in, meaning there’s no need for dishes or boxes. They use cutting edge technology, offer a cinematic sound system and allow for self-expression through a range of different colours to suit all tastes.

Each of the three features for The Sunday Times invited a celebrity to work with Sky’s interior illustrator and tap into their imaginations to design their dream living space with Sky Glass at the centre. And we were excited to secure Melvin Odoom for one of the pieces.

Melvin has had an impressive career filled with notable highlights both in the past and present. He gained recognition as a radio presenter, hosting shows on popular stations like KISS FM and Capital FM and now BBC Radio 1. His lively and engaging style quickly made him a household name, and welcomed a transition into television presenting on shows such as The Xtra Factor and Sweat the Small Stuff. His infectious personality sees him continue to make waves in the entertainment industry and has seen him amass a significant social media presence too.

When he’s not spending his time on air, he’s a self-confessed fitness fanatic and it was this which inspired his visionary living space with Sky Glass. Calling it ‘Work(out) and Play’, the space Melvin created was a gym sanctuary, full of neutral relaxing colour palettes and natural woods. Within the feature, through a voiceover Melvin takes readers on a tour of his dream space explaining how his room is all about escaping the daily hustle and the ways in which incorporating a Sky Glass into the room would enhance his workout experience.

The written feature included an in-depth interview with Melvin alongside a sketch of his work(out) and play room, and appeared in The Times’ Style Magazine within its Art and Design special. The video and interview were also used on The Times online as well as their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
