OVER 50S CELEBS TALK RETIREMENT FOR MCCARTHY & STONE CAMPAIGN

Retirement should be about enjoyment, meeting new people, experiencing things you’ve never had the time to do and taking up space training. Confused by the last bit, well read on and you’ll find out what on earth we’re talking about…

The Celebrity Sauce Co. were tasked to provide four celebrities over the age of 50 for an advertising campaign centred around the enjoyment of life after retirement for leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy & Stone. Of course, we said ‘yes!’ because who doesn’t want to help be a part of a campaign bursting with positive vibes? Plus, we got to find out how some well-known names are spending their golden years. Spoiler alert… Brian Blessed has his sights set on a trip to the Moon and Mars!

Drawing on years of celebrity relationships, we confidently partnered McCarthy & Stone with treasured actor Brian Blessed, former Strictly judge Len Goodman, renowned journalist Jennie Bond and iconic TV actress Linda Robson. Individually they lifted the lid on how they are stepping out of their comfort zone during retirement, taking on new hobbies and embracing, rather than fearing, this time of their life.

Their candid stories were featured as an advertising campaign within the Mail Metro and successfully reflected McCarthy & Stone’s tagline of ‘Life, Well Lived’.

We could gush over the uplifting tales that came from the campaign for many more words– we particularly like Linda Robson’s mantra for never saying ‘no’ to things – but unlike life after retirement, we have a limit.
