RACHEL STEVENS REACHES FOR THE STARS IN DFS OLYMPIC CAMPAIGN

The countdown is on to the Tokyo Olympics where we’ll all watch on as our great nation compete for gold (all while we ask ourselves why we didn’t try harder to get fit in lockdown. Or is that just us?) Anyway, the aforementioned ‘Olympics’, ‘sofa’ and ‘getting fit’ were at the centre of a campaign that The Celebrity Sauce Co. were brought in to help secure a winning celebrity for.  

Furniture retailers DFS – as if we needed to waste precious words giving them a pre-introduction – were on the lookout for a celebrity family to take part in their Armchair Athletes Challenge campaign to help promote their new Yuttari Sofa, as well as drum up excitement on the lead-up to the Olympics. We might not be beach ready (there’s still time!) but we were excited to be part of an epic campaign that brings families together for a laugh… 

We used our relationships and sauced a celebrity family that would work for DFS and Rachel Stevens was our pick for the campaign as she’s a doting mother of two, has a loving husband, enjoys keeping fit, has an Instagram that’s interior lover’s will drool over and has a following on Instagram of 231k. 

For the Armchair Athletes Challenge campaign DFS have created an advertising video for use on The Mail Metro. Rachel and her family were set a challenge Max Whitlock from Team GB whereby they went head-to-head with the athletes in a series of home-orientated challenges – all taking place in front of the DFS Yuttari sofa. To finish the video Rachel and her family deliver a call to action for families to compete in their own Armchair Athletes Challenge and enter a competition to win the Yuttari sofa for their own home. 

Rachel was a gold medal celebrity for DFS!
